Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) began its educational journey in the 1997-1998 academic year with 157 students and 32 academic staff, establishing itself as a foundation university that attracts significant interest from international students. Operating across four campuses located in different areas of Istanbul, the university offers a wide range of academic programs through its Faculties of Education, Science and Letters, Engineering-Architecture, Art and Design, as well as its Graduate Education Center.
IKU aims to produce graduates who are equipped to work in the global business world, possessing professional ethics, teamwork skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit, by offering various departments and programs that cater to international students. The university maintains a robust network by fostering continuous communication and interaction among alumni, students, academic, and administrative staff.
Active in Erasmus and international collaborations, IKU has established over 200 Erasmus Agreements with member countries of the European Union and offers exchange programs with various universities in America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Additionally, it has agreements under the Farabi Program to support domestic student exchanges. In terms of campus life, IKU provides a rich and dynamic university experience by offering a range of social, cultural, and academic activities to its students.

Don't be fooled by the bad reviews. The university is truly the best among foundation universities with the opportunities and relations it offers. All of the lecturers are knowledgeable and you can get solid answers to your questions. I am very satisfied with the "New Media and Communication" section. The functioning of the system in the school is also good. The IT team did a great job. The system never crashes during course selection/final grade entry.
