İstanbul Aydın University (İAÜ) was established in 2003 as Anadolu BİL Vocational School and took its current name in 2007. The university, serving over 38,000 students across its Florya, Kadıköy, and Büyükçekmece campuses, is one of the largest foundation universities in Turkey in terms of student population. İAÜ is home to more than 5,000 international students, ranking high in statistics for foreign student enrollment. It is one of the two private universities in Turkey with the highest number of international students.

It's a significant disappointment for Istanbul Aydin University on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey that left a master's student so frustrated, ultimately leading to his sharing this terrible experience with others. What has transpired feels like a surreal nightmare, and I'm finding it hard to believe, especially because I was dealing with an academic institution. I deeply lament my decision to pursue higher education in Turkey. I was expelled after just two semesters because I hadn't completed my preparatory courses in the first year, a rule that nobody had informed me of. Even my advisor, Professor Ali Okatan, expressed that he didn't know who had decided on these courses. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I wrote two letters, one to the head of the Institute of Higher Education and another to the university chairman two months ago. I followed up on my request multiple times, but the only response I received was that I had to re-register, obtain a new student ID, and pay the updated tuition fee. As I continued to assert my rights, the university administration and my advisor began to neglect me. The chairman's assistant refused to give me an appointment to meet him and consistently provided false excuses, claiming he was either ill or on a business trip, while my advisor did not answer my calls. I strongly discourage considering this university, as the system appears to prioritize financial concerns over students' well-being. Additionally, most of the lecturers are not professional and active at their field; many of them are old and retired.

I’ve been attempting to contact the International office all morning, and I must express my frustration with the unprofessionalism of this school. There appears to be no one responsible for answering inquiries on the phone, and the representatives I spoke to were dismissive. This is highly unprofessional and unethical. Moreover, they keep you waiting for extended periods, but when it concerns payments, they act swiftly like sharks, charging in dollars, which is illegal in Turkey. The reputation of this school is questionable, as it seems to be involved in money laundering and lacks focus on education. The school’s lack of responsibility and responsiveness makes it the worst private school I’ve encountered. It would be better to consider online Google classes instead.

I'm writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with Istanbul Aydin University. For several months, we had been working closely with the university as an education consultancy, assisting them in student recruitment and providing beneficial services. In contrast, our experience with Istanbul Aydin University has been nothing short of a disaster. The primary problem we ran into was the university's failure to meet its financial obligations. We have not gotten any commission payments for several months, despite our efforts and dedication in sending a big number of students to the university. This has put a significant financial pressure on our organization, resulting in a slew of issues that could have been avoided had the university kept its promises. Furthermore, it appears that Istanbul Aydin University has undergone significant changes that have negatively impacted its overall quality and reputation. The once vibrant and interesting institution has become lackluster and unappealing to both students and educational companies. The university seems to be overwhelmed with a large number of students, resulting in overcrowded classrooms and a decline in the quality of education. What's more upsetting is the university's unprofessional and apathetic attitude. Our attempts to contact and address the payment problem were received with apathy and disinterest. It is profoundly disheartening to see such a lack of accountability and contempt for the partnerships that keep their business running. Given our experiences with Istanbul Aydin University, I am unable to recommend this university to prospective students or other educational consultancies. The university's unwillingness to follow its financial commitments, combined with diminishing quality and unprofessional behavior, is quite concerning. I strongly advise anyone considering a partnership or enrollment at Istanbul Aydin University to exercise caution and thoroughly research other options. It is crucial to choose an institution that values its relationships and upholds its commitments to avoid the hardships and disappointments we have experienced. I sincerely hope that Istanbul Aydin University takes immediate action to rectify these issues and improve their practices. However, until they demonstrate significant improvements in their approach, I cannot in good faith endorse or support this university.
