Established in 2010 in Izmir, Turkey's third-largest city, Izmir Katip Çelebi University is named after the renowned scholar Katip Çelebi. As the fourth state university in Izmir, it is among Turkey's young and developing universities. Initially focused on Health and Science disciplines, the university expanded its educational scope to include the Faculty of Islamic Sciences and the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences in 2012, thereby becoming a comprehensive university addressing the needs of the community and the region.
