Erzurum Technical University, established in 2010, serves as the second state university in Erzurum. The university, which opened its doors to students in the 2012-2013 academic year, began its education on a campus located outside the city. As one of Turkey's youngest universities, Erzurum Technical University aims to show rapid development both scientifically and culturally in the coming years and to offer its students a wide range of academic, social, cultural, and artistic opportunities.

I had gone to Erzurum University to attend a conference. Its consists very large campus with separate specialized colleges and faculties. Also Erzurum University was founded in 2010 as one of the six technical universities in Turkey. The university consists of 6 faculties, 1 graduate school and 3 institutes. The undergraduate and graduate education have started in 2012, and the number of undergraduate and graduate students is over 1,000 in 2013. Erzurum Technical University aims to become a research hub in its region.

The most important historical riches of the province of Erzurum, these bastions are a total of 22 pieces. These bastions were made during the Ottoman and Russian Wars to protect the city from the raids and invasions in Eastern Anatolia. They were built on high hills.
Three Cupolas
In Erzurum, which is one of the historical sites, Three Cupolas are monumental tombs belonging to the Seljuk Period. The largest of these Cupolas belongs to Seljuk Emir Saltuk, but it is not known who the others belong to.
