Batman University (BTU) is a state university established in 2007 and is among the pilot universities in the field of energy with the motto "Transforming Knowledge into Energy." BTU provides education to a total of 11,710 registered students, including over 700 international students. The university aims to instill ideals of transparency, neutrality, tolerance, and innovation in its students.

The campus provides a peaceful living environment with amenities such as a 750-person dormitory for female students, lodges, a cafeteria, a health center, and all social facilities. Furthermore, the 8,000-square-meter library is designed for individual and group studies and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

BTU implements international exchange programs such as Erasmus Plus and Farabi to offer international students the opportunity to study in Turkey. In the SCImago 2021 evaluation, which examines the contribution of scientific publications to the world of science, Batman University ranked 826th among world universities.
