Artvin Çoruh University (AÇÜ), established on May 17, 2007, has proven itself as a respected educational institution in Turkey. As of 2022, the university has 11,507 registered students, including approximately 600 international students, and provides quality education with its 550 academics and 365 administrative staff. Çoruh University aims to cultivate qualified individuals and establish a solid foundation in science, art, and culture through national and international education and scientific research.

The university has four campuses: Merkez, Seyitler, Arhavi, and Hopa, with the Seyitler Campus particularly noteworthy. Located about 3 km from the city center, it is established on a vast piece of land. The Central Campus, situated alongside the Çoruh River, is equipped with modern facilities. There are numerous accommodation facilities around the campus and in various parts of the city, offering extensive housing options for students.

In 2011, the Science-Technology Application and Research Center (BİLTEKMER) and the Central Research Laboratories were established under the Seyitler Campus, initiating R&D activities.
