Adıyaman University (ADYÜ) is one of Turkey's young and dynamic universities. Established in 2006, ADYÜ was formed by merging faculties and vocational schools of İnönü, Harran, and Gaziantep Universities located within Adıyaman province. This university, embracing a student-centered approach and philosophy of barrier-free living, has taken necessary measures on its campuses to ensure students face no difficulties.

The main campus of the university is conveniently located near the city center of Adıyaman, easily accessible from the city center. The campus houses two dining halls serving regional delicacies and canteens for student convenience. The university also provides support in housing, transportation, and security.

ADYÜ has been awarded blue and orange flags by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) for its work towards disabled individuals, with the main campus and several faculties recognized in the “access in space” and “access in socio-cultural activities” categories. The campus includes facilities like an indoor sports hall, stadium, semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool, and multipurpose sports halls.

In the prestigious US News Best Global Universities rankings, ADYÜ ranked as the 1401st best university in the world and the 32nd in Turkey. The Physics department has been ranked as the 443rd best globally. The university participates in national and international exchange programs, including Erasmus Plus, Farabi, and Mevlana, having student exchange agreements with 87 universities across 12 European Union countries under the Erasmus Plus program.

The university fosters technological and scientific research through various programs. Projects from the Silk Road Development Agency, European Union, Leonardo da Vinci, and TÜBİTAK are also managed and closely followed by the university.
