İÇEL (MERSİN)

MERSIN, whose former name is İÇEL, is surrounded by Adana in the east, Antalya in the west, Niğde, Konya and Karaman in the north and the Mediterranean in the south. The city occupies the entire Cilicia Tracheia (Taşlık Klikya) and the basin of Cilicia Pedias (Ocalık Klikya). The city includes the highlands extending from the North to the highest peaks of the Taurus Mountains, and extends south-west along the eastern Mediterranean.

Cave of the Seven Sleepers
