Hattusha-Boğazkale
The ancient city of Hattusha-Boğazkale, located near Çorum Province, is a very old settlement that hosted the Hittite Empire. Today, the ancient city of Hattusha-Boğazkale is known as Boğazköy. First excavations were carried out in 1834 in this ancient city, which was a capital city in the 17th and 13th centuries.
Çorum Ulu Mosque
When resources are examined, it is known that the mosque came from Seljuk period to present. However, there is no clear date. Again according to the information obtained from the sources, Seljuk Sultan Alaattin Keykubat had this mosque built by his slave Hayrettin Hazır. The pulpit, which is one of the most important elements of the mosque, was subsequently brought to the mosque, but there is no information on exactly when it was delivered, and this pulpit was made with an excellent woodworking.
