Cumhuriyet University (SCÜ), a state university, was established in 1974 and named in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Republic. It is the 9th university established in Turkey and is located in Sivas, a city with a rich historical background. As of 2022, the university educates 44,324 students, including 2,487 international students. SCÜ, with its strong academic staff, aims to ascend from tradition to the future by designing education programs in line with the necessities of the era.
