Founded in 2007 in the city center of Çankırı, Çankırı Karatekin University (ÇAKÜ) is a state university. As of 2021, the university has a total of 16,145 students, including 1,290 international students. The university I chose and graduated from due to its proximity to Ankara. First of all, the winter months are extremely cold. There is a girls' dormitory inside the Uluyazı campus, you can go there on foot. The dining hall is very good, you can eat 3-4 types of delicious meals for the price of water. Likewise, the library is just as beautiful, it has 3 floors and there is no book you cannot find. As for transportation, it's all luck; if you get busy, you have to wait. KYK dormitories are new and clean, I stayed in Emir Karatekin dormitory, the only problem is transportation. First you go to the center, then you take the university bus from the center again, which takes about 1 hour. When it comes to education, there is good and bad, geography department teachers are generally qualified graduates of Ankara University. You may say that they built a university at the top of the mountain, but there is no other vacant place in Çankırı anyway. In fact, in most small cities, universities are located at the top of the mountain. If you live in Ankara, I think it may be preferable; when you are bored, you can leave on Friday and come back on Monday morning.

ÇANKIRI
Çankırı, where most part of it is located in Central Anatolia Region and some parts are located in Black Sea Region is surrounded by Bolu in the west, Karabük in the northwest, Kastamonu in the north, Çorum in the east and Ankara and Kırıkkale in the south. The mountains on the northern border of the province also constitute the highest segment.

Çankırı Salt Cave
Tuz Cave, which attracts the visitors, is located approximately 19 km away from Çankırı. Thanks to the salt deposits in this place, Çankırı is the city with the largest salt reserve in Turkey. The stalactites and stalagmites in the salt cave meet welcome you. It is a healing area for asthma patients and is one of the unique places.
