HATAY
Hatay is one of the ancient cities in the Mesopotamian region where many religions and civilizations emerged. Hatay is also a border province which includes Gor Trench consisting of Al Beka Valley between the Syrian and Lebanese mountains at the eastern end of the Mediterranean Region.

This structure, which was previously used as the Temple of the Romans, was transformed into a church in the Byzantine period, and was introduced as a mosque with the arrival of Islam in Anatolia. Arrangements have been made in accordance with the Islamic structure characteristics and today it is still used as a mosque.
