ERZİNCAN

Erzincan, located in the Upper Euphrates section of the Eastern Anatolia Region, is surrounded by Erzurum in the east, Sivas in the west, Tunceli in the south, Bingöl in the southeast, Elazığ-Malatya in the southwest, Gümüşhane-Bayburt in the north and Giresun in the northwest. Erzincan generally has continental climate characteristics. Erzincan has a more temperate climate than all other provinces except Elazığ and Malatya in the Eastern Anatolia Region.

Tomb of Mama Hatun

The architect of this tomb made on behalf of the Princess of Saltuklu Mama Hatun is Ahlatlı Abu a'n Nema Bin Mufaddal. The tomb is located in the boundaries of the Tercan district of Erzincan, within a large complex. The date of construction is considered to be between 1192 and 1202, although it is not accurate.

Kemah Castle

Kemah Castle, located in the boundaries of Kemah district, takes its name from the district. Kemah Castle, which is one of the historical places, has hosted many civilizations. Evliya Çelebi mentioned Kemah Castle in his book Seyahatname.
